Founded by Dr. Claudette Grageda, a highly respected local physician, and Lucy Serpa-Barkdull, an extensively experienced Registered Nurse, our medspa is built on a foundation of clinical excellence and compassionate, patient-centered service. Dr. Marie Claudette Grageda is a highly respected board-certified physician with over 16 years of experience in primary care, women’s health, and general wellness. As Medical Director of Aria Aesthetics, Dr. Grageda provides direct clinical oversight, ensuring every treatment meets the highest standards of safety, efficacy, and patient care.

Over 30 Years of Nursing Expertise Including 10+ Years in Medical Aesthetics
Lucy is a highly experienced Advanced Aesthetics Nurse with over 30 years of nursing experience, including more than a decade as an advanced trained aesthetics R.N.. Her career spans clinical excellence, education, and regulatory consulting. She has trained nurses and even physicians in safe, natural-looking aesthetic techniques. Lucy spent 9 years as a hospital-based clinician, specializing in maternal/child health, critical care, and 7 years as a college nursing faculty instructor. Lucy has also consulted for medical, surgical, and aesthetic practices on clinical operations and regulatory compliance.
Lucy brings an impressive breadth of credentials, including an MBA specializing in Healthcare Management, a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing, a Public Health credential and multiple certifications and advanced certifications in medical aesthetics.
Leadership in Surgical & Medical Systems
Lucy’s leadership background includes over 14 years as a Director of Nursing for surgical centers, also serving as a certified expert in Quality, Risk Management, and Accreditation Expert for surgical centers and hospital systems.
Nationally Recognized Expert
Lucy is the author of nationally shared medical quality improvement reports, and a respected speaker, panelist, and consultant having presented at international surgical symposiums and national healthcare seminars
With her expansive clinical, administrative and regulatory background along with her multiple certifications in aesthetics, Lucy brings a rare depth of clinical insight and extensive expertise to the aesthetic field. Lucy also brings the care, compassion and warmth of a nurse who has cared for patients in their must critical and vulnerable states. As a first generation daughter of immigrant parents, Lucy values diversity and a multi-cultural approach to serving patients. She is fluent in two other languages: Spanish and Portuguese. Her focus is always on what is best for the patient above all else.
